What is an AI tell?
An AI tell is a familiar word, phrase, or sentence pattern that can make a post sound formulaic. People use these patterns too. A match is a reason to review a sentence, not evidence of who wrote it.
Why do readers notice AI tells?
Repeated phrases make different writers sound alike. Broad claims can also crowd out the details readers came for. A specific observation, number, or example often gives a reader more to consider.
Can this checker prove a post was written by AI?
No. It compares text with a fixed list of words and structural patterns. The score describes matches against that list, not the probability that AI wrote your post. Your text is checked in your browser without an account or an AI model call.
